Experienced & Caring

Georgina is a highly-skilled psychologist who has worked across the private and government sectors and has volunteered as a Lifeline Telephone Counsellor. She is a skilled therapist, having worked with diverse client groups in a range of settings, including both short-term therapy and longer-term intervention. In her work she has performed workplace mediation, medico-legal assessments, consulting within the corporate sector and managing a team of psychologists. She started working in private practice in 2010 and was the in-house psychologist at a busy family GP practice based in Bondi Junction for a number of years.

Georgina is dedicated to providing evidence-based psychological treatment to adults of all ages. Her compassion, interest in her clients’ journey and her dedication to her clients provides a positive foundation for growth and change. She provides a caring, non- judgemental, confidential and safe space for her clients to explore their emotions and works collaboratively them to shift and move forward. She arms her clients with tools for life to enable ongoing self-management. She encourages and welcomes liaison with referring doctors and other health practitioners to provide an integrated and thorough service to her clients. Georgina feels privileged to share in her clients’ stories and help them to make effective and long-lasting life changes.

Qualifications

Georgina graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2001 with a Bachelor of Economics (Social Sciences). She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice and has undertaken further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focussed Brief Therapy and mindfulness-based interventions.

Georgina is dedicated to advancing her skills and knowledge and participates in regular clinical supervision, continued professional development, industry specific training and peer consultation.
